Lora "Maxine" Sizemore

December 23, 1928 — May 29, 2005

Lora "Maxine" Sizemore,76, of Oak Hill, our beloved mother and grandmother went peacefully in her sleep after a long illness on Sunday, May 29, 2005 at her home. Born December 23, 1928, at Glen Jean, she was the daughter of the late Luther and May Holstine Hatfield. She was a homemaker, Mamaw and mother. She was a member of the Fellowship Memorial Baptist Church, Oak Hill, Ladies Aid Guild of the church and Friends of the Oak Hill Library. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Miles Ellis Sizemore, Jr.; sisters, Sarah Hatfield, Kitty Woodson and Jean Skaggs and special mother-in-law, Annie Sizemore. Survivors include four daughters, Barbara Arrington and husband, Dale, Connie Sargent and husband, Clayton, Paula Carter and husband, Bobby, and Judy Spack, all of Oak Hill; a sister, Norma Smith of Oak Hill; and twelve grandchildren, Kris and Mandy Arrington, Lori Burgess, Lisa and Beth Lambert, Elizabeth Perdue, Robert Sargent, Cassie and Matt Carter, Michael, Robert and Sammy Spack; and seven great-grandchildren, Hannah, Brooke, Kaylee, Emilia, Kasey, Keara and Tanner. Also survived by numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, and church family members. Services will be 2:00 PM WednesdayJune 1, 2005, at Fellowship Memorial Baptist Church, Oak Hill with the Revs. Daniel Rice and Bill Menefee officiating. Burial will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Friends may call Tuesday, May 31, 2005, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill, and one hour before the service Wednesday at the church. Donations of sympathy may be made to the Fellowship Memorial Baptist Youth Dept., P. O. Box 317, Oak Hill, WV 25901 or to the Oak Hill Public Library. Pallbearers will be Kris Arrington, Robert Spack, Michael Spack, Robert Sargent, David Arrington, Mark Hurd, Blaine Woodson and Joe Hill. Honorary pallbearers will be Sammy Spack and Matt Carter.
