Lora Damron Blethen

Lora Stover Damron Blethen, 93, of Oak Hill, WV died on Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at her home. Born July 19, 1915 at Sandy Bottom, WV she was the daughter of the late Henry and Mahala Holsten Stover. She was a retired housekeeper for the Marmet Hospital and a cook for several area restaurants. Mrs. Blethen was a member of the Family Worship Center at Hilltop. Her husband, Fred Terrance Damron and a daughter, Katherine Workman preceded her in death. Survivors include daughters, Jacqueline O'Neal of Central City, KY and Ellen Stover of Oak Hill; sons, Howard Kenneth Damron of Derby, Kansas, Terrance "Terry" Damron of Oak Hill, Danny Lee Damron of Oak Hill and Frederick Terrance Damron of Norfolk, VA; two sisters, Maggie Beard of Phoenix, AZ and Dolly Holston of Dorothy; twenty grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her caregivers, Kim Stover, Patty Dorsey, Phyllis Blake and Angel Angle as well as a church family who loved her. Services will be on Saturday, August 2, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. Fairley McCormick and Rev. Floyd Bowyer officiating. Committal service will be at 12:30 pm at the Pineview Cemetery Mausoleum, Orgas WV with entombment to follow. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Friday, August 1, 2008 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
