Lois "Jenny Wren" Rice Blaschak

Mrs. Lois “Jenny Wren” Rice Blaschak, age 83 of Lancing, TN formerly of Scarbro, WV went home to be with her Lord on July 19, 2013 after a long illness, Jenny was surrounded by her loving family whom she loved very much. She was a faithful Christian who loved her Lord. Jenny Wren was an accomplished author of many books, loved painting, and writing poetry and had a love of music and loved playing the organ. Jenny never met a stranger. She was preceded in death by her parents: James Mattison and Arizona Harrington Rice, husbands: Cager D. Howard, and Walter Blaschak, daughter: Freda Babinski; brothers; John Wesley, William J., Charles Casto, Rufus, Thomas, and Hayden Clark Rice and sisters: Lillie Mae Sanders, Jessie Lee Hamby, Lou-Anna Rice, Nellie Beatrice Seletyn and Mattie Louise Riser, She is survived by daughter Lou Whitson and husband, Curtis of Lancing; grandchildren: Audrey Korgan and husband Michael of Florida, Angela Humphries and husband, Don of Lancing, Jarrod Whitson and wife, Cyndy of Harriman and Lindsey Johnson and husband, Andrew of Murfreesboro; 8 great grandchildren: Brittney, Michael, Faith, Brock, Tyler, Nate, Mathew & Ari and many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. The family will receive friends Monday, July 22, 2013 from 6-8 pm Schubert Funeral Home Wartburg. Funeral services will follow with Bro. Rick Taylor officiating. The family will also be receiving friends on Wednesday July 24, 2013 from 1-2 pm at the Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill. Graveside services will follow at 2:15 pm at the High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill with Bro. Walter Webb officiating.
