Lloyd Calvin Toney, Sr.

Our wonderful husband and No. 1 dad, Lloyd Calvin Toney, Sr. , 86, of Beckley, WV died on Monday, June 13, 2016 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV.
Born March 21, 1930 at Sophia, WV he was the son of the late Dewey Hubert and Eunice Vivian Burley Toney.
He was a retired coal miner and a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Lloyd was a man of many interests. He loved reading his Bible, playing bingo, watching WWE wrestling, as well as going hunting and fishing. He was a fan of the Green Bay Packers and Atlanta Braves.
A son, Dewey Clayton Toney preceded him in death.
Lloyd leaves a loving family to cherish his memory - which includes his wife, Cynthia Ann Yarber Toney; sons, Lloyd Toney, Jr. of Mt. Airy, NC, Michael Toney of Mt. Airy, NC, William Lewis Toney of Texas, Thomas Toney of Fayetteville, James Toney of Winston-Salem, NC, Everette Toney of Beckley, Marion Toney of Clemmons, NC and Letty Toney of Dobson, NC; daughters, Lillie Cook of Oak Hill, Vivian Layne of Beckley,and Peggy Scarberry of Germantown, OH and 156 grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be on Friday, June 17, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Henry Hudson officiating. Burial will be at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Oak Hill with military graveside rites by Oak Hill VFW Post No 3110. Members of the Bradley-Prosperity Fire Department will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
