Lisa Michelle Hall Jones, 38, of Lansing, WV currently residing in Bluffton, SC passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at Candler Hospital in Savannah, GA. Born March 11, 1971 at Beckley, WV she was the beloved daughter of Tekoah "Tex” and Myra Sue "Susie” Hall of Lansing. Mrs. Jones was a member of the First Baptist Church, Bluffton, SC. She was an educational deaf interpreter for Beaufort and Chatham county schools and was a member of several sign language organizations. Lisa's gift and passion was interpreting for the deaf. She touched many hearts through her ministry and through her educational interpreting. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Lloyd Sampson; paternal grandparents, Willis Hall and Elma Hall Neal Syner and father in law, Jerry Jones. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her loving husband, Jerry Bryson Jones, Jr. her two precious children, Autumn Tate Jones age, 16 and Zachary Tekoah Jones age, 11 both of Bluffton and her dear sister, Kristi Hall of Bluffton. She is also survived by her maternal grandmother, Justine Sampson of Hilton Village; mother-in-law, Wanda Labounty of Scarbro and an aunt, Gina Miller and her family of Parkersburg. Services will be on Sunday, October 25, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Cranberry Baptist Church in Beckley with Rev. Roger Pauley officiating. Private burial will take place at High Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at Cranberry Baptist Church, Beckley on Saturday, October 24, 2009 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Lisa Jones Memorial Fund for the Deaf Ministry, Cranberry Baptist Church, 201 Cranberry Drive, Beckley, WV 25801.
