Linda Jo Chambers

Linda Jo Smith Chambers, 58, of Watha, NC died on Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at her home. Born October 16, 1948 at Jefferson County, AL she was the daughter of the late Rufus and Josie Mae Bogus Smith. Mrs. Chambers served her country honorably in the US Navy during the Vietnam Era. She was a registered nurse and worked with Pender Home Health for many years. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of 26 years, Charles "Charlie" R. Chambers; two sons, Thomas Branan and wife, Leigh of Cocoa, FL and Charles Joseph Chambers of Watha; two grandchildren, Tyler Branan and Connor Branan; two brothers, Randy Smith of Dothan, AL and Mike Smith of Tallahassee, FL and two sisters, Janie Wager and Cindy Bryan both of Tallahassee, FL. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Sunday at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home, Burgaw, NC with Rev. Wayne Hamilton officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the funeral service until 4:00 PM. Graveside rites and committal service will be on Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens in Oak Hill with burial to follow.
