Lillian Ruth Underwood McClung , 92, of Hilltop, WV died on Sunday, April 02, 2017 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV.
Born July 01, 1924 at Glen Morgan, WV she was the daughter of the late George Robert and Crystal L. Martin Underwood.
Lillian was a member of the Redstar Baptist Church and a homemaker.
Her husband of 61 years , Philip A. McClung; infant daughter, Penny Allison McClung; and eight brothers and sisters preceded her in death.
Survivors include daughter, Patty McCormick of Hilltop; sons, Philip McClung of Salisbury, NC and Paul McClung of Hilltop; sisters, Sally Bloxton of Red Star, Donna Smith of Oak Hill, and Sharon Campbell of Arizona; brothers David Underwood of Biloxi, MS and Bob Underwood of Fayetteville; eleven grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren
Services will be on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Pastor Randy Sunderland officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park., Oak Hill. Friends may call from 11:30 AM until service time on Thursday at the funeral home.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family expresses a special thank you for the care and kindness provided by the staff at Bowers Hospice House. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Bowers Hospice House, 454 Cranberry Drive, Beckley WV 25801
