Lewis Frye

Lewis Anderson Frye, 80, of Maple Fork, WV died on Thursday, July 17, 2003 at home following a long illness. Born August 8, 1922 at Long Branch, WV he was the son of the late Thomas Virgil and Cora Cole Frye. Mr. Frye was a member of the Crossroads Apostolic Church, Bradley, WV. He was a retired coal miner and an avid gardener. He loved his church and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ollie Arnetta Adkinson Frye; a son, Raymond Lewis Frye; infant brother, Billy Ray Frye; sisters, Viola Makra and Clara Hart; an infant granddaughter and two infant great grandsons. . Survivors include Wife, Doris Riffe Frye SONS: Rev. Roger Frye and wife, Dolorse, Maple Fork Ronald Frye and wife, Linda, Maple Fork Randall Frye and wife, Patty, Concord, NC DAUGHTERS: Martha Legg and husband, Joh, Oxford, GA Leatha Davis and husband, Eddie, Maple Fork Brenda Scites and fiancee, Werner Sauermann, Richmond, VA Violet Honaker and husband, Thomas, Prosperity Melissa Derringer and husband, Randall, Maple Fork SISTERS: Mabel Whittaker, Maple Fork Mary Smith, Northwood, OH 28 grandchildrfen 2 step-grandchildren 36 great grandchildren 10 step great grandchildren 2 great great grandchildren Visitation will be held at Crossroads Apostolic Church on Saturday from 6:00 - 9:00 pm Services will be on July 20, 2003 at 1:00 P.M. at Crossroads Apostolic Church in Bradley. Rev. Jimmy Miller and Rev. Roger Frye. Burial will be at Pax Community Cemetery., Pax, WV Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
