Lessie Coleman Wriston

Lessie Fay Coleman Wriston, 105, of Oak Hill, WV passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2022, at Oak Hill Place with family by her side.

Born July 21, 1916, in Dothan, WV she was the daughter of the late Everett S. and Naoma E. Payne Coleman.

Lessie loved being a homemaker, and her greatest joy was being surrounded by her family, whom she loved dearly. You could find her singing as she worked in her kitchen or yard. She was a loyal and faithful member of Fairview United Methodist Church for over 75 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Orville Wriston, grandson Rocky Dale Wriston, great grandson Jerico Wriston and siblings, Delphia Evans, Bonnie Davis, Dana Wriston, Arlie Coleman, and Rosemary E. Wriston.

Those left to cherish her loving memory include her children Ronnie Orville Wriston (Jean), Dr. Naomi Faye Wriston, and Terry Dale Wriston; grandchildren, Teresa Ann Baldwin (Stan), Ronnie Allen Wriston (Dawn), and Stacie Lynn Crist (David); and great grandsons, Robbie Wriston, Curt Wriston (Lexi), and Jesse Crist. She also was blessed with many loving nieces, nephews and friends to remember her.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill, WV with Pastor Tony Reed officiating. Burial will follow at the PJ Wriston Cemetery in Mossy, WV.

Visitation for friends will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home in Oak Hill.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations of sympathy be made to the Fairview United Methodist Church or the charity of your choice.
