Leona Mccune

Leona Jones McCune, 64, of Mount Hope, WV died on Saturday, August 12, 2006 at CMC Mercy Hospital in Charlotte, NC. Born March 12, 1942 at Kaymoor, WV she was the daughter of the late Charles Edward and Elsie Leona Smith Jones. Five brothers, Frank, Charles, Leroy, William and Oather Jones and one grandson, Kenneth McCune preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband, Truman Ray McCune; two sons, Kenneth McCune and Jimmy McCune both of Mount Hope, WV; one daughter, April McCune of Charlotte, NC; one brother, Sam Jones; one sister, Della Bragg of Fayetteville, WV; two granddaughters, Shandi Williams and Courtney McCune and one great granddaughter, Magenta McCune-Wright. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope on Wednesday, August 16, 2006, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Services will be on Wednesday, August 16, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope with Rev. Gene Leroy Evans and Rev. Brian Evans officiating. Burial will be at Bibb Cemetery, Rt 1 Fayetteville WV.
