Leona M. Harper Rose

Leona Marie Harper Rose, 83, of South Daytona, FL formerly of Oak Hill, WV died on Thursday, September 16, 2010 at Hospice of Volusia/Flagler in Port Orange, FL. Born April 05, 1927 at Wevaco, WV she was the daughter of the late Van and Dora Stanley Harper. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Fred Rose, daughter, Sherry Ann Rose, brother, Alva Harper and sisters, Fleda Davis, Bleka Proffitt, Arlene Batton and Delphia Spencer preceded her in death. Survivors include two sons, James K. Rose of South Daytona, FL and Frederick A. Rose of Port Orange, FL, two sisters, Lola Morris of Oak Hill and Bernice Sampson of Blacksburg, VA, two grandchildren, Brent A. Rose and Brandy R. Rose and two great grandchildren, James A. Rose and Hunter A. Rose. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Monday, September 20, 2010 at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Ralph Shupe officiating. Burial will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Monday.
