Lena Falvo Fox

Lena Falvo Fox, 73, of Oak Hill, WV died peacefully on Monday, November 10, 2008 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, WV. Born September 14, 1935 at Mount Hope, WV she was the daughter of the late Pietro and Marietta Scalzo Falvo. She was married to the late W.E. "Sam" Fox, Sr. Lena was a lifetime member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Oak Hill. She worked at Plateau Medical Center up until her illness last year. The family would like to thank the staff at the Emogene Dolin Hospice House for their loving care, as well as Cindy and Larry Canterbury, Mary Pino and Tom Booth for their support and kindness. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her beloved daughter Sandra Marie Fox-Blackburn; two sisters, Ida and Emma and one brother, Gabriel. Survivors include daughter, Karen Veazey and husband, John, whom she loved like a son, of Huntington, her son, Sam Fox and wife, Christine of Charleston and her beloved grandchildren, Adam and Sarah. Also surviving are her son-in-law, Gary Blackburn, whom she also loved like a son, a sister, Anna Ely and husband, Kenneth along with several nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, November 13, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at Sts Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Oak Hill with Father Paul Yuenger officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park in Oak Hill. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Rosary will be held at 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, 3100 Staunton Road, Huntington WV or Sts.
