Lelia Opal "Billie" Wees Wall

Lelia "Billie" Opal Wees Wall , 96 of Jasper, AL formerly of Mount Hope, WV died on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 in Jasper, AL. Born July 17, 1914 at Mount Hope, WV she was the daughter of the late Glen H. and Ruby Taylor Wees. Mrs. Wall was a member of the Kilsyth Free Will Baptist Church for more than 60 years and worked at Aide's Department Store in Mount Hope until her retirement at the age of 82. She was preceded in death her husband, Cecil E. Wall, a son, Richard E. Wall, a daughter, Mary Jo Wall Cox, a grandson, Jeffrey Lambert, three sisters, Evelyn Lawson, Ethel Blanchard and Madeline Duncan and one brother, John A. Wees. Survivors include a daughter, Betty Lambert and husband, Carlton of Jasper, AL; son-in-law, Randy Cox of Knightdale, NC; grandchildren, Philip Lambert and wife, Gina of Eldridge, AL, Carla Creech of Florence, SC, David Cox and wife, Nancy of Seattle, WA and Denise Cox of Knightdale, NC; 12 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be on Sunday, June 19, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at the Kilsyth Free Will Baptist Church in Mount Hope with Rev. Bill Bennett officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope on Saturday, June 18, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 P. M.
