Laverne Knuchel

LaVerne Wilson Knuchel, 87, of Oak Hill, WV died on Sunday, December 11, 2005 at in Oak Hill, WV. Born June 25, 1918 at Monroe County, OH he was the son of the late Fred and Lucy Brown Knuchel. Buzz was a member of the First Christian Church of Weirton for over 50 years. He was a retired railroad engineer on the Penn Central and CSX Railroads. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. His wife of 63 years, Dorothy Lucinda Carle Knuchel and a sister, Juanita Norden preceded him in death. Survivors include a son, Roger Knuchel and wife, Joan of Byesville, OH; a daughter, Darlene Newell and husband, Donald, of Lochgelly, WV; one brother, Raydon Ted Knuchel; five grandchildren, Mark Knuchel, Ryan Newell and wife, Lisa, Lee Newell and wife, Dawn, JoEva Knuchel Hager and husband, Tim and Eileen Knuchel and four great grandchildren, Makayla and Chloe Hager and Tucker and Trent Newell. Visitation will be held at Harper Funeral Home, 52728 Ohio Avenue, Beallsville, OH on Thursday, December 15, 2005, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Services will be on Friday, December 16, 2005, at 10:00 A.M. at Harper Funeral Home in Beallsville with Rev. Kevin Bowers officiating. Burial will be at Beallsville Cemetery, Beallsville OH.
