Laura Beth Self

Laura Beth Self, age 26, of Fayetteville, died on Thursday, January 30, 2014 from injuries received in an accident on Pea Ridge Road, Oak Hill. Born June 15, 1987 in Winston-Salem, NC, she was the daughter of Timothy Mark and Tammy Lyanell Persinger Self of Fayetteville. Laura was a 2005 graduate of Fayetteville High School and attended WVU Tech and Mountain State University in the Criminal Justice Program. She was a EMT and former EMS worker for 7 years and was currently a dispatcher at the Fayette County 911 Center. She was preceded in death by 4 great grandfathers, 3 great grandmothers and 3 infant cousins. Survivors in addition to her parents include a sister, Tiffany Self Humphery and husband Roger Lee of Fayetteville and very special baby sister, Kristen Lyanell Self of Fayetteville, paternal grandparents, Zane and Evelyn Self of Fayetteville, maternal grandfather, Richard Persinger of Clearwater, FL, maternal grandparents, Lennis Persinger Redwine and Lavon Redwine of Crossville, TN, two great great grandmothers, Minnie Etheleen Martin Persinger of Glasgow and Cora Davenport Maynard of Crossville, TN. Also surviving are very dear close friend, Sarah Hill and many aunts, uncles, other close friends and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, February 3, 2014 at the Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Pastor Larry Humphrey officiating. Entombment will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, Oak Hill. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 PM on Sunday, February 2, 2014.
