Larry D. Vass

II Corinthians 5:8 Larry Dennis Vass , 75, of Cirtsville, WV died on Friday, June 28, 2013 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV. Born November 21, 1937 at Cirtsville, WV he was the son of the late Luther and Eveleno Berry Vass. He was a retired surface coal miner for Patience, Inc. of Beckley. Mr. Vass was a member of the New Prospect Baptist Church, Sweeneysburg, where he served as a Trustee at the church for 20 years. Two brothers, Jack D. Vass and Earnest B. Vass and one sister, Ina Mae Bowyer preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Sandra Lynn Wilkerson Vass; two sons, Larry Dean Vass and wife, Angela of Sweeneysburg and Johnny Adair Vass and wife, Karen of Bradley; a daughter, Debra Spahn of Florida; two brothers, Roy Vass of Cirtsville and Tommy Vass of Cirtsville; and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be on Sunday, June 30, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at New Prospect Baptist Church in Sweeneysburg with Pastor Gary Williams officiating. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope on Saturday, June 29, 2013 from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM.
