Larry Lynn Nibert

Larry Lynn Nibert, aka Mad Dog, 86 of Kincaid passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2024, at the Bowers Hospice House in Beckley with family members by his side.  

Born February 13, 1938, in Montgomery, WV he was the son of the late Harry and Effie Nibert. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Jerry Allen Nibert.   

Larry’s passion for hunting, fishing, and gardening touched all who knew him.  He held a great appreciation for all things outdoors.  He was a true mountain man; his knowledge of the mountains was unmeasurable.  He was there supporting the WV Mountaineers every chance he got.   He was a former UMWA representative and retired Coal miner. 

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Judy Nibert; daughter Lora Nibert Adkins (Rodney Farmer); sons Joshua Nibert (his husband Robert Economu); Larry Nibert (his wife Jody Watson Nibert); and Ronnie Nibert.  His grandchildren Haleigh Adkins Riffe (her husband Caleb Riffe), Samantha Nibert (Dylan Saunders), Dawson Nibert (Ashton) and Sebastian Nibert.  His great grandsons; Tristin Calzado, and Ryker Nibert. 

In keeping with Larry’s wishes a private family memorial will be held at a later date.  His laughter and kindness will be remembered always.
