Kimberly Lynn Holstein Downing

Kimberly Lynn Holstein Downing , 50, of Pax, WV died on Wednesday, November 09, 2011 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV. Born March 06, 1961 at Beckley, WV she was the daughter of the late Gene Haden Holstein and Janice Aubrey Canterbury Holstein Meredith. Kimberly was a former employee of Dayton Tire Manufacturing. She was a 1979 graduate of Mount Hope High School and her hobbies included reading, decorating and spending time with her friends. The family wishes to give special thanks to the Bowers Hospice House staff for their excellent care and compassion and to her aunts, Judy Barley and Donna Canterbury for all the time they spent with Kim during her final days. Her step-father, Larry "Bucky" Meredith preceded her in death. Survivors include her children, Gina (Alex) Mester and their children, Alyssa, Parker, Emmeline and Meredith of Pax, Chet (Tiffany) Downing and their son, Dakota of Maple Fork and Tyler Downing of Maple Fork, and a brother, Wesley (Shirley) Holstein of Grafton, OH. Many friends also survive. Funeral services will be on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 12:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Mount Hope with Chaplain Mitchell "Skee" Barley officiating. Burial will be at Pax Community Cemetery in Pax. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations of sympathy may be made to Bowers Hospice House, 454 Cranberry Drive, Beckley WV 25801. A Hospice donation box will also be available at the funeral home.
