Kennith Lee Ruff, 66, of Mount Hope, WV died Friday, December 19, 2014 at Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital following a long illness.
Born November 15, 1948 at Oswald, WV, he was the son of the late John William and Edith Caroline Bowles Ruff.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Kennith worked as coal miner with Marfork Coal Company and was a member of the Mount Hope Assembly of God.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Yvone Reid Ruff; one son, Kennith Ruff II and wife, Kerri of Piney View; three daughters, Monica Williams and husband, Tim of Mount Hope, Angela Ruff of Mount Hope and Rebecca Young of Oak Hill; four brothers, Robert Ruff of Eldorado, CO, Perry Ruff and wife, Judy of Warrensbury,MO, Arlie Ruff and wife, Jean of Columbus, OH, and James Ruff and wife, Connie of Mount Hope; four sisters, Betty Painter and husband, Jack of Beckley, Freda Vangelo and husband, Mike of New Jersey, Janice Kincaid of Chicago, IL, and Rosetta Morgan and husband, Jay of Mount Hope. Also surviving him are his mother-in-law, Joyce Reid Ruff of Maple Fork and nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope with Rev. Jessie Parker officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
