Kathy Suzette Hurley Villarreal, 62, of Beckley, WV died Saturday, August 16, 2014 at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston, WV.
Born August 20, 1951 at Beards Fork, WV, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Freda Blake Hurley.
She was the personnel manager for Mountain State Home Health Care, Inc.
Kathy was a 1969 graduate of Collins High School in Oak Hill. She was very proud of Oak Hill and because of that she initiated a Facebook page “you know you're from” where hundreds of people come together to share their memories of growing up in this little mountain town. She stated it this way, “This is a site to reconnect with friends near and far from the town of Oak Hill and surrounding... areas. My desire when creating this site was to have a place that lets us take long walks down Memory Lane and to share with each other our remembrances and our lives today.” Thank you Kathy for creating this online community.
An infant daughter, Tina and two sisters, Kenna Keith and Alanda Kay Hurtado preceded her in death.
She is survived by a loving family which includes her husband, Salvador Villarreal; one daughter, Kelly Taylor and her husband, Charlie of Scott Depot; granddaughter, Karlie Taylor; a niece, Kasie Miller of Oak Hill; nephew, Eric Keith of Oak Hill; and a brother-in-law, Richard Hurtado of Oak Hill.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Tuesday evening, August 19, 2014 at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill.
