Kathleen A. Burton

Kathleen America Kincaid Burton, 84, of Oak Hill, WV died on Sunday, October 07, 2007 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV. Born December 02, 1922 at Minden, WV she was the daughter of the late William Cecil and Virginia Maudie Coleman Kincaid. The Kincaid's were blessed with seven children, all of whom have gone on to be with the Lord: Wandew Cecil Kincaid, Lafalda Marie Arbogast, Riley Edmond Kincaid, Vermeda Cornell Patrick, Madaline Tomsie Chambers, Sweetheart Joseph Kincaid who died in infancy and now Kathleen A. Burton. Mrs. Burton was a member of the First Brethren Church, Oak Hill, WV where she was a former youth leader, member of the Women's Missionary Society and a Bus Captain. She was the retired owner of Burton's Grocery in Chicago, IL. Kathleen was a graduate of Oak Hill High School. Burl and Jean would like to express their thanks to Dr. S.S. Maducdoc, the staff of Plateau Medical Center and Kathleen's long-term caregiver, Della Lewis for the care, love and support they have given. In addition to her three brothers and three sisters she was preceded in death by her husband, Delphia Burl Burton. Survivors include son, Delphia Burl Burton, Jr. and wife, Jean of Oak Hill, WV and a grandson, 1st Sgt. Thomas Burton of Ft. Bragg, NC. Also surviving Billie Jean Withrow of Weston, WV and who had been a special friend for over 50 years. Services will be on Thursday, October 11, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hillwith Rev. William Skeldon officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill WV. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Wednesday, October 10, 2007, from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM.
