Karen Jane Reese Treadway , 54, of Fayetteville, WV died on Monday, October 03, 2011 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV following a 2 1/2 year battle with cancer. Born August 19, 1957 at Fayette County, WV she was the daughter of the late Lonnie and Letha Mae McMillion Reese. Mrs. Treadway was a member of the Apostolic Holiness Church, Beckwith, WV. A former bank teller Karen had been employed at One Valley Bank, Fayette County National Bank and the Bank of Mount Hope. A brother, Robert Reese and half-brother, Arthur Reese preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband, John David Treadway, one son, Jason Treadway at home, stepdaughter, Sherry Treadway of Nashville, TN, brothers, Gary Reese and wife, Sue of Sheffield Lake, OH, Jimmy Reese and wife, Diane of Loudonville, OH, Kenneth Reese and wife, Delilah of Elkhart, IN and Larry Reese and wife, Yvonne of Waynesburg, OH, sisters, Linda Weis and husband, Russell of Fayetteville, Nancy Fernandez and husband, Joe of Fayetteville, Joyce Cundiff and husband, Ralph of Fayetteville and Thelma Foster and husband, Jesse of Oak Hill and half-sisters, Norma Farmer of Cleveland, OH and Margaret Smith of Goshen, IN. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Kendell Treadway and Addison Treadway both of Fayetteville along with their mother, Margaritte Nicely whom Karen loved as a daughter as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to member's of her husband's family, Linda Morris, Judy Holliman, Ruth Eder and Leona Woodin, to Hospice of Southern West Virginia and Bowers Hospice House staff and members of Karen's church family for their loving support. Funeral services will be on Friday, October 7, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at the Apostolic Holiness Church in Beckwith with Rev. Rick Barker and Rev. Bobby Ayers officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park in Oak Hill. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church. Members of the church will serve as pallbearers.
