June Lane Allen

June Lane Allen, 82, of Oak Hill, WV died on Tuesday, December 21, 2004 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV following a long illness. Born June 18, 1922 she was the daughter of the late Herbert H. Lane, Sr. and Bessie Catherine Walker Lane. She was a retired elementary school teacher's aide. Mrs. Allen was a member of the Harvey United Methodist Church, Harvey, WV, member and past matron of the Oak Hill Chapter No. 107, O.E.S. and member of the WV Association of Retired School Employees. Survivors include her husband, James P. Allen; two daughters: Sara Morgan Stephenson of Portland, Maine and Brenda K. Allen of Oak Hill; one brother: Herbert Lane, Jr. of Flat Top Lake; four grandchildren: Susan Hobart of Lynn, Mass, Kristen Lane Dobscha of Austin, TX, Jimmy Boothe of Oak Hill and Mallory Boothe of Oak Hill; a great granddaughter: Haven Hobart of Lynn, Mass and by two nieces: Patricia Lane of Oak Hill and Paula Lang of Hurricane. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Sunday, December 26, 2004 from 6:30 - 8:30 pm where an Eastern Star service will be conducted at 7:00 pm. Friends may also call one hour prior to the service Monday at the church. Services will be on Monday, December 27, 2004 at 2:00 pm at Harvey United Methodist Church with Rev. Chalmer Abrams and Dr. John Sauvage officiating. Burial will be at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Oak Hill WV. Pallbearers will be Freddie Scarbro, Steven C. Moss, Eugene Wallace, Kent Ellison, Curtis Stover and B.J. Bernath.
