Julia Deal Simms

Julia Deal Simms, 86, of Rt. 1 Mount Hope, WV died on Tuesday, September 12, 2006 at her home. Born April 23, 1920 at Fayette County, WV she was the daughter of the late Matt and Millie Pennington Deal. Julia was a homemaker and she formerly attended the Weirwood Community Church. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice of Southern West Virginia for their wonderful care. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Leo Simms; two sons, Davy Simms and Larry Eugene Simms. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family having been preceded by three sisters and four brothers. Survivors include daughter, Dorothy Donell and husband, Chester, of Dearfield, OH ; one son, Ricky Simms and wife, Marie of Weirwood, WV; fifteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope on Thursday, September 14, 2006, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Services will be on Friday, September 15, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope with Pastor Mike Gunnoe officiating. Burial will be at Pax Community Cemetery, Pax WV.
