Judy Kay Belcher Lester

Judy Kay Belcher Lester, age 62, of Beckley passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Appalachian Regional Hospital in Beckley, WV. Born January 13, 1949 in West Virginia , she was the daughter of the late Arnold and Ellen Ball Belcher and the stepdaughter of Ora Pack Belcher. Judy was a disabled fabric worker for the Kentucky Derby. Seven brothers and sisters preceded her in death, Tootsie Lackey, Louise Murphy, Linda Willhite, Frenda Pack, Freddie “Buddy” Belcher, Ron Belcher and Charles Belcher.. Survivors include her companion of 16 years, James Robert Toney, her children, Kay Cardwell, Douglas Lester, Crystal Mielcerak, Susan Toney and husband Jackie, Lisa Martinez and husband Dante, her stepchildren, Joseph Toney and wife Stephanie, Derrick Toney and Stephanie Toney, her four sisters, Nancy Whitt, Viola Meadows, Betty Matlas and Zorrie Belcher. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren . Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, January 1, 2012 at the Tyree Funeral Home Chapel, Oak Hill, WV with Rev. Bob Pauley officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, January 1, 2012 from 1:00 P.M. Until 2:00 P.M. In accordance with her wishes Mrs. Lester will be cremated.
