Juanita Stewart Rakes , 79, of Oak Hill, WV died on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV.
Born October 04, 1936 at Oak Hill, WV she was the daughter of the late Fred and Dessie Parrish Stewart.
Juanita was a homemaker. She was of the Baptist faith - attending Cranberry and Bethel Baptist Churches.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Noah Austin Rakes, Jr.; son, Fred Austin Rakes; two brothers, Richard Stewart and Raymond Stewart; and a sister, Kay Stewart.
Survivors include one son, Darrell Rakes and wife, Marsha of Oak Hill; two brothers, Arnold Stewart and wife, Becky of Charleston and David Stewart of Oak Hill; five sisters, Doris Miller of Oak Hill, Patricia Richards and husband, Dale of Martinsburg, Brenda Paulette Petrucci and husband, David of Fredrick, MD, Beverly Blake of Charleston, and Sandra Holm and husband, Jim of Huntingdon,TN; six grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be on Friday, February 26, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Hilda Perry officiating. Burial will be at Huse Memorial Park, Fayetteville.
Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Thursday, February 25, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
