Joyce Arlene Richmond Rhodes , 83, of Oak Hill, WV died on Monday, May 05, 2014 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV. Born September 14, 1930 at Jumping Branch, WV she was the daughter of the late Hobert and Elsie Bennett Richmond. Joyce was a graduate of Montgomery High School. She was a member of the Oak Hill United Methodist Church. Her husband, Everett Lee Rhodes and brother, David Richmond preceded her in death. Survivors include three sons, Bruce Rhodes of Oak Hill, Randy Rhodes and wife, Sandy of Indian Land, SC and Steve Rhodes and wife, Lorine of Oak Hill; five grandchildren, Kevin Rhodes and wife, Erica of Camp Hill, PA, Stephanie Rhodes of Oak Hill, Jennifer Anderson and husband, Clint of Charlotte, NC, Danielle Edgell and husband, Scott of Oak Hill and Lela Rhodes of Oak Hill; great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mrs. Rhodes was cremated. A memorial service will be on Friday, May 9, 2014 at 12:00 P.M. at the Oak Hill United Methodist Church with Pastor Kevin Rhodes officiating. Her cremains will be buried at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens at a later date. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church.
