Joyce "Peggy" Elizabeth (Williams) Reid Ruff

Joyce "Peggy" Elizabeth (Williams) Reid Ruff 93, of Mount Hope passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at her residence with her loving family by her side.

Born July 1, 1931 she was the daughter of the late Cecil Williams and Nona Yancey Williams.

Peggy loved spending time going church and worshiping the Lord, reading her Bible, and Pastored the Glen Jean Church of God for 10 years. in Her leisure she enjoyed crocheting, making crafts, and especially loved spending time with her family.

Along with her parents she is also preceded in death by her 1st husband, Earl Reid; 2nd husband, Howard Ruff; 3 children, John Reid, Marion Reid, and Gregory Reid; 2 son in laws, Larry Ruff and Kennith Ruff; daughter in law, Sissy Reid; sisters, 2 Helen Powers and Betty Emerson; and 2 brothers, Sonny Williams and Benny Williams.

Those left to cherish her wonderful memory include her loving daughters, Dana Stump (Steve), Kelly Graham (Jimmy), and Barbara Ruff; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; and sister Mary Ann Canterbury.

Pallbearers will be Tim Williams, CJ Humphrey, Ashton Sheppard, Timothy Sheppard, Cody McGuire, and Logan Graham.

Funeral service will be 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Hope with Pastor Randall and Mary Brickey officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Prosperity, WV.

Visitation for friends will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home in Mount Hope on Saturday, March 29, 2025.
