Joshua Adam Phillips, Jr., age 19, of Oak Hill, WV, passed away on December 2, 2021. Born July 4th, 2002, in Beckley, WV, he was the son of Joshua and Tonyia Shrewsbury Phillips.
Josh was a 2020 graduate of Oak Hill High School and worked for Arch coal as an underground coal miner and enjoyed going 4-wheeling.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Charlie Phillips, maternal grandfather, Cletis Lee Shrewsbury, and uncle, Jeremy Phillips.
He will be deeply missed by parents; Joshua and Tonyia Phillips of Oak Hill, fiancé, Sunny Stewart, sisters; Cheyenne and Emily Phillips, like a brother, his best friend; Dylan Harper, grandmothers; Linda Bragg Phillips of Oak Hill and Debra Louise Nelson (Teddy) of Maple Fork, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many many friends.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday December 8, 2021 from 5:00 P.M. To 7:00 P.M. with a service starting at 7:00 P.M.
While masks are not required you might consider wearing one before entering the building as we all attempt to stop the spread of COVID 19.
