Josephine Wines Suttle

Josephine Wines Suttle, 86, of Mount Hope passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at the Bowers Hospice House in Beckley.

Born June 17, 1937 in Pax, WV she was the daughter of the late Luther Wines and Lilly Jane Maynor Bailey.

Josephine was a homemaker, was a loyal member of the Kilsyth Freewill Baptist Church for over 30 years and her greatest joy in life was being a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother.

Along with her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband, John Suttle; sons, Jimmy Suttle, Gary Suttle, and Randy Suttle; siblings, Stella Williams, Tennie Williams, Sadie Bailey, Marlene Stover, Clarine Wines, Corbitt Bailey, Carlos Baily, Luther "Bud" Wines, and Lyndon Wines.

Those left to cherish her wonderful memory include her loving children, James Suttle, David Suttle, Betty Biere (Ted), Johnnie Suttle (Mary), Sarah Suttle and Diane Suttle (Aubrey Cook); grandchildren, Jason Biere, Jenny Dewey, Amy Garris, Eric Biere, Betty Ann Workman, Thomas Underwood III, Zachary Underwood, and Tiffany Toney; great grandchildren, Brantley Workman, Carson Workman, Kiylah Workman, Remington Workman, Sampson Stanley, Chase Stanley, Grace Toney, Kameron Biere, Kade Biere, Eden Biere, Carloine, Biere, Gabe Garris, Jose Dewey, and Micah Dewey; great great grandchild, Hayden Stanley; brother, Herman Wines; daughter in law, Darlene Schrader; and ex son in law, Thomas Underwood, Jr.

Funeral service will be 12:00 pm Noon on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Tyree Funeral Home in Mount Hope with Pastor Loretta Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at the Willis Branch Cemetery in Long Branch, WV.

Visitation for friends will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home in Mount Hope.
