Joseph William Sanger Sr.

Joseph William Sanger, Sr. , 83, of Fayetteville, WV died on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV.
Born October 16, 1931 at Scarbro, WV he was the son of the late Herbert Shelton Sanger, Sr. and Ethel Layne Sanger.
Joe retired from the Fayette County Board of Education. He was a US Air Force veteran having served during the Korean Conflict.
His wife, Nancy G. Peck Sanger; son, Joseph W. Sanger, Jr.; sister, Patsy Ann Hinte; and brother, Franklin D. Sanger preceded him in death.
Survivors include two sons, Jeffrey L. Sanger of Cleveland, OH and William Carl Sanger and wife, Kimberly of Bolton, MA; two brothers, Herbert S. Sanger, Jr. of Knoxville, TN and Ronald Sanger, Sr. of Williamson; and two grandchildren.
Graveside rites and committal service will be on Monday, August 31, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Prosperity with Rev. Ron Sanger officiating. Entombment will follow.
Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill on Sunday, August 30, 2015 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
