Joseph E. Jordan, Sr.

Joseph E. Jordan, Sr., 84, of Oak Hill, died Friday, April 2, 2010 at Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital, Beckley. Born April 24, 1925 at Layland, he was the son of the late Frank M. Jordan, Sr. and Kathleen Moran Jordan. He was a retired electrician for Wallace and Wallace Music Co., Oak Hill; a veteran of World War II having served in the US Marine Corps. Preceded in death by his wife, Margie Louise Miller Jordan; three brothers, Frank M. Jordan, Jr., James Patrick Jordan, and Donald William Jordan. Survivors include three sons, Joseph E. Jordan, Jr. of Louisville, KY, William J. Jordan of Buckhannon and C. Timothy Jordan of Oak Hill; one daughter, Kathleen Jordan of St. Albans; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Committal Service will be at 1:00 PM Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at High Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, Oak Hill with Pastor Jerry Bush officiating. Entombment will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. V. F. W. Post #3110, Oak Hill will conduct military rites.
