Joseph Ellis Hylton Sr., 78, of Fayetteville, WV closed his eyes on earth and opened them to see his Jesus on Friday, July 03, 2020.
Born October 25, 1941, in Patrick County, VA he was the son of the late Joseph Grover and Pearlie Mae Pendelton Hylton.
He was a Strip Miner, US Army veteran and a devoted member of the Mountain View Church of God. As a believer in Christ he would want the message of eternal life to be known; through the Crucifixion and Resurrection, life has not ended and is only beginning.
Preceding him in death were his brother, Darrell Hylton of Black Eagle and sister, Sylvia Hylton of Black Eagle.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 55 years, Shirley Darlene Young Hylton; children, Tina Michelle Miller and Jack (Dec.) of Winfield, Joseph Ellis Hylton, Jr. and wife, Rhonda of Fayetteville, Terry Dewayne Hylton and wife, Mindy of Fayetteville; sisters, Shirley Fann of Black Eagle, Louise Smith of Oceana and Dorothy Graham of Texas; six grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, five great grandchildren and 1 step-grandchild.
In keeping with his wishes Joseph will be cremated.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
