Joseph S. Elswick

Joseph Sylvester “Joe” Elswick , 66, of Page, WV died on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at CAMC - General Division in Charleston, WV. Born April 07, 1944 at Beards Fork, WV he was the son of the late Thomas Edward and Ivy Pearl Blake Elswick. He was a coal truck driver Joe attended several different churches in the area because he was a socializer. Three sisters, Edna McMillion, Linda Withrow, and infant sister, Donna, and one brother, Arnold “Bill” Elswick preceded him in death. Survivors include daughter, Gail Stewart and husband, Donald of Leon, his girlfriend and the love of his life, Goldie Stover, three brothers, James Elswick of East Bank, Albert Elswick of Page and Sherman Lee Elswick of Georgia, four sisters, Joyce Lively of Kincaid, Mary James of Kincaid, Brenda Davis of Tennessee and Lois Burnside of Kincaid, and two grandchildren, Joey Stewart and Liam Stewart of both Leon. A memorial service will be on Sunday, April 3, 2011 at 3:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Wayne Johnston and Rev. Tommy Burke officiating.
