Precious Husband, Daddy and Paw Paw, John Willard Williams, 79, of Maple Fork, WV passed away on Monday, January 13, 2014 at Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley. Born November 27, 1934 at Toney's Fork, West Virginia, he was a son of the late Alvie and Maudie Boggs Williams. He was a coal miner for 30 years and loved to coon hunt and go ginsenging. He was preceded in death by a brother, Isom Williams; and two cousins, Lorn Williams and Orba Williams. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Shelva Jean Holstein Williams; six daughters, Rose Mary Parsons and Connie Ruff and her husband, James of Mount Hope, Jane Ann Smith Williams of Fayetteville, Sandra Sanger and her husband, Skip, Tammy Underwood, and Debby Patterson and her husband, Robert, all of Mount Hope; and Randall Parsons of Beckley, who was like a son. Also surviving are a brother, Ward Williams of Clear Creek and a sister, Orpha Collins of Ohio; thirteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, family and friends. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A. M. Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Tyree Funeral Home in Mount Hope with Rev. Jerry Tyree officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
