John Dayton "J.D." Sears , 75, of Thurmond, WV died on Wednesday, September 09, 2015 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV.
Born May 26, 1940 at Beury Mountain, WV he was the son of the late Hershel and Bessie Propps Sears.
He was a retired construction worker and a member of the AFL-CIO.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Hershel Edward Sears.
Survivors include daughter, Robin R. Sears Crider of Grayson, KY; son, John D. Sears, Jr. of Kyle, TX; sister, Brenda Sears Taylor of Richmond, VA; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Lum Toney officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill.
Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Monday, September 14, 2015 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
