John Mckinney, Jr.

John McKinney, Jr., 54, of Oak Hill, WV died on Thursday, June 11, 2009 at CAMC - Memorial Division in Charleston, WV. Born August 31, 1954 at Beckwith, WV he was the son of the late Dollie Smith McKinney and John McKinney, Sr. He was of the Holiness faith and a disabled miner and timber supplier. His wife, Donna Jean Layton McKinney and two sisters, Brenda Newhouse and Maxine Rogers preceded him in death. Survivors include a daughter, Tammy Burgess and husband, Julius of Scarbro; brother, Russell McKinney of Oak Hill and sisters, Dollie Ball and Nancy Smith both of Oak Hill. Also surviving are a granddaughter, Jennifer Dawn Burgess of Scarbro; three nieces, Crystal Ball, April Ball and Amanda McKinney; great nieces, Sara Treadway and Katelyn Settle; great nephew, Elijah Settle and a brother-in-law, Bob Ball. Services will be on Monday, June 15, 2009 at 2:30 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Joe Hoggard and Rev. Bryan White officiating. Burial will be at McKinney Cemetery, Hopewell WV.
