John Edward Kincaid Sr.

John Edward Kincaid Sr. 85, of Tobaccoville, NC passed away October 21, 2013. He was born in Kincaid, WV on November 13, 1927 son of the late Luther G. and Goldie Ellis Kincaid. At the age of 15, he enlisted in the Merchant marines and worked on numerous ships during World War 2. A proud WWII Veteran, he served in the Atlantic, Mediterranean, and Pacific theaters of war. After the war he settled and married his beloved wife Euvah Jeanette Terry to whom he was married for 65 years until her death on January 20, 2013. They had four children, 9 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. During his career, he worked as a diesel mechanic, welder, hydraulic mechanic, supervisor and plant supervisor among other things. In recent years he has enjoyed gardening and woodworking while living at Tobaccoville, NC. Services will be on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Dr. Melissa Pratt officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
