John C. Hill, Jr.

John C. Hill, Jr., 85, of South Charleston, WV died Wednesday, May 25, 2005 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV after a short illness. Born July 29, 1919 at Nuttall, WV he was the son of the late John Charles and Mabel H. Buckland Hill. John lived his early years at Hilltop, WV. He was a 1938 graduate of Oak Hill High School where he was a member of the band. Mr. Hill was employed by FMC of South Charleston for over forty years. His wife, Margaret F. Hill; infant son, Stephen Eldred Hill and his sister Mary Alice Hutchison preceded him in death. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father, uncle, and friend. He will be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure of his acquaintance. He enjoyed the last few months of his life living in Morgantown, WV close to his son and daughter-in-law. Survivors include his son, Douglas W. Hill; daughter-in-law, Antionette B. Hill of Morgantown; and a niece, Gail Ann Dewar of Seffner, Florida. Mr. Hill donated his remains to the West Virginia Human Gift Registry in Morgantown, WV. Memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill, WV.
