John Edward "Ed" Holt

John Edward “Ed” Holt, age 64, of Oak Hill,WV passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley. Born January 4, 1949 in Oak Hill, WV, he was the son of the late John Earl Holt and Bonnie Warden Holt Navicki. Ed was a member of Oak Hill Masonic Lodge #120 AF&AM and had recently retired from Alpha Natural Resources where he ended his 45 years of employment as a purchaser in the coal industry. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 46 years, Ruth Ann Tucker Holt of Oak Hill. He is survived by his beloved daughters, Tara Holt of Myrtle Beach, SC and Kim Kupec and her husband Justin of Morgantown, WV; three cherished grandchildren, Emma, Nate and Ella Kupec; loving sister, Rita Kay Jefferies and brother Mike Navicki. Also surviving are sister and brother-in-laws, Patty and Larry Nutter, Jack and Cami Suzza, Donna and Kenny Thomas and Saundra Tucker and also by his mother-in-law, Ruth Suzza. The family will respectfully honor Ed's request for no memorial service. We however will have a visitation on Monday March 4, 2013 from 6-8 PM at the Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill, WV We would like to thank his family, friends and co-workers for their love and support.
