John Thomas Cody, Sr.

John Thomas Cody, Sr., 59, of Rt 1 Fayetteville, WV died on Friday, December 19, 2008 at his home. Born May 18, 1949 at Fayetteville, WV he was the son of the late Edwin and Goldie Rorabaugh Cody. Mr. Cody was a construction laborer. Survivors include one son, John T. Cody, Jr. of Maryland; one daughter, Sonya Cody of Virginia; his companion Patricia Bland and daughters, Brenda Taylor and Tammy King both of Fayettville; a brother, David Cody of Marietta, OH and three sisters, Imogene Abachit of Beverly, OH, Patsy Light of Virginia and June Beebe of Virginia and grandchldren, Crystal Taylor, Michael Taylor and Joshua King. Services will be on Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. Larry Humphrey officiating. Cremation will follow. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Tyree Funeral Home for John's funeral expenses.
