John Herbert Bowyer

John Herbert Bowyer, 92, of Bradley passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at the Bowers Hospice House in Beckley.

Born February 16, 1932 in Cirtsville, WV he was the son of the late John and Jessie Mae Howard Bowyer.

John retired from the coal mines working as a scoop operator and his leisure he had a passion for dirt track racing and loved spending time with his family.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Delia L. Craddock Bowyer; daughter, Darlene Duncan; and 2 sisters, Jane Sweeney and Hilda Weeks.

Those left to cherish his wonderful memory include his 2 sons, Wayne Bowyer (Sandra) and Johnnie Bowyer and his companion Thelma Treadway; 3 grandchildren, Kimberly Bowyer, Sammy Duncan (Stacy), and Jimmy Duncan; 3 great grandchildren, Christopher Cook, Cody Duncan, and Kendall Duncan; and a brother, Bernard Howard Bowyer.

Graveside Rites with burial to follow will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at Sunset Memorial Park in Beckley with Pastor Jim Bowyer officiating.
