Joe Ann Lively

Our devoted wife and mother, Joe Ann Phillips Lively , 76, of Pax, WV passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at her home.
Born December 02, 1939 at Milburn, WV she was the daughter of the late William L. "W.L." and Myrtle Lorene Smith Phillips.
Joe Ann was a 1957 graduate of Pax High School where she played on the basketball team and was a cheerleader. She was an active member of the United Methodist Church both in Pax and Jacksonville, FL and active in Church Women United while living in Jacksonville. With her husband, Joe Ann served on the Pax Reunion Committee for seventeen years.
Her brother, Jerry Phillips of Lehigh Acres, FL passed away in 2008.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Bud M. Lively; son Malcolm Lively and wife, Kathryn of Virginia Beach, VA; one granddaughter, Geneva of Virginia Beach; brothers, Robert Phillips and wife, Carolyn of Eatonton, GA and Bill Phillips of West Palm Beach, FL; nine nieces; and two nephews.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Mount Hope with Pastor Mervin Sizemore officiating. Entombment will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity.
Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Long Branch United Methodist Church, PO Box 148, Pax WV 25904.
