JoAnn Pauley Jarosz, 81, of Scarbro passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at the Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV.
Born October 16, 1941 at Scarbro to the late Frank E. and Nellie P. McKinney Pauley.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Richard, Charles, and Stuart; sisters, Mary Alice, Judith, Janice, Norma Pate, Naomi Evans, and Dorothy Deluca.
Those left to cherish her memories include her husband, Leon of Scarbro; 1 sister, Barbara Macomber of New Jersey; 2 brothers, Daniel of Ohio and Larry of Tennessee; and numerous nieces and nephews.
JoAnn attended Collins High School for two years and two years at Mount Hope High School graduating in 1959. "Mrs. Jarvis" retired from the Fayette County Board of Education as a Kindergarten Aide at Mount Hope Elementary School. "Josie" enjoyed hiking, photography, cooking, sewing but playing a round of golf gave her so much joy.
The family would like to thank Plateau Medical, the Bowers Hospice House, and the area churches for their care, support, kindness, and prayers.
In keeping with JoAnn's wishes she will be cremated a memorial service will be held at a later date.
