Joann Berry Gardner , 79, of Ravenna, OH formerly of Prosperity, WV died on Sunday, January 04, 2015 at the home of her daughter, Beverly Kaylor.
Born September 06, 1935 at Thurmond, WV she was the daughter of the late Earl and Myrtle Jones Berry. From the age of nine months Joann was raised by the late William E. and Pauline Vandall Berry, whom she considered her parents.
She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Gardner; son, Tommy Gardner; three brothers, Junior, Justice and Keaton Berry; and two sisters, Kathrine Berry and Patricia Gardner.
Survivors include her daughter, Beverly Kaylor and husband, James of Ravenna, OH; three sons, John Gardner and wife, Louise of Maple Fork, Ronald Gardner of Ravenna, OH and James Gardner of Ravenna, OH; sisters, Joyce Goins and husband, Norman of Roanoke, VA, Brenda Hunt of Backus Mountain and Pamela McCants of Backus Mountain; twelve grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren
Graveside rites and committal service will be on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at Harrah Cemetery on Backus Mountain with Rev. Wayne Peters officiating. Burial will follow.
Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope on Friday, January 9, 2015 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
