Jimmy Lee Kennedy

Jimmy Kennedy,79, of Oak Hill, WV passed away Friday, June 27, 2008 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington. Born February 27, 1929 at Summerlee, WV, he was a son of the late James Alexander and Inez Ruth Reynolds Kennedy. He was a retired truck driver and strip miner. He was a member of the Oak Hill Baptist Church, Fayette Plateau Men's Association, a U. S. Navy veteran where he achieved the rank of Ship's Serviceman 2nd Class. Jimmy is survived by his wife, Betty Jo Miller Kennedy; two daughters, Karen Treadway and husband, Rick, of Ona and Cindy Froman and husband, Mike of Jasper, GA; four grandchildren, Carly Wills, Marshall Treadway, Jeremy Settle and Joshua Settle; four great grandchildren; one sister, Carole Kees and husband, David, Oak Hill. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday, June 30, 2008 at Oak Hill Baptist Church with Rev. David Sneed officiating. Burial will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Friends may call from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday evening at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill. Military Rites will be conducted by VFW Post #3110, Oak Hill.
