Jerry Wayne Wingrove

Jerry Wayne Wingrove, 70, of Adelanto, CA formerly of Pax, WV died on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 in Adelanto. Born December 6, 1938 he was the son of the late O.R. “Waterbury” and Thelma Humphrey Wingrove. Jerry was a 1956 graduate of Pax High School. Following graduation, he enlisted in the US Air Force where he served four years. He was last employed by RoadWay Freight Line in California. Survivors include, his wife of 46 years, Judy Sweaza Wingrove; one daughter, Stephanie Jones and husband, Steven of Adelanto, CA; one son, John Wingrove and wife, Mickie of Adelanto, CA; four grandchildren, Brittany, Ashley, Kevin and Cody and twin great granddaughters, Trinity and Madison. Three sisters and two brothers also survive him, Sandra Johnson of Minnesota, Dennis Wingrove and wife, Ruth Ann of Pax, Robert Wingrove and wife, Jane of Dothan, Rita Allen of Pax and Luanne Thornquest and husband, Rick of Pax and his father-in-law, Dan Sweaza of Adelanto, CA. There were no services. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society, 2020 E. 1st Street, Suite 120, Santa Ana, CA 92705.
