Jerry Wayne Tincher, 42, of Oak Hill, WV died Friday, October 3, 2014 at Plateau Medical Center, Oak Hill. He was a loving father and devoted husband.
Born December 3, 1971 at Ft. Hood, Texas, he was the son of Gary Wayne Tincher of Gatewood and Linda Shepherd of Summersville.
He was a heavy equipment operator in the coal industry.
Jerry attended the Oak Hill Church of the Nazarene, liked hiking in the New River Gorge area and loved the outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Billy and Ruby Shepherd; his paternal grandfather, Ray Tincher.
Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Rebekah Lea Smith Tincher; his children, Tayler Tincher, Brandon Tincher and Mackenzie Tincher all at home; two brothers, Gary Tincher and wife, Brenda of Princeton, Roger Tincher of Gatewood; one sister, Angel Tyler and husband, Keith, Jr. of Shady Spring; paternal grandmother, Jency Tincher of Gatewood; mother-in-law, Beverly Sanger and husband, Gene of Hilltop; sister-in-law, Barbara Humphrey and husband, Jim of Oak Hill; uncle, Lee Ray Tincher of Pleasant View Rd. and nine nieces and nephews; all of whom loved him very much.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Monday, October 6, 2014 at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Dr. Randy James officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Chris Long, Brandon Tincher, Jim Humphrey, Gene Sanger, Gene Lusher, and Mike Shepherd.
