Surrounded with love and her five children, Jerry Louise Palmer, 81, of Sanger, WV, went home to dwell with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, September 26, 2021.
Born September 22, 1940, at Fayette Station, WV she was the daughter of the late George Frederick and Roxie Elizabeth Ward Burns.
Jerry is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Thomas Palmer, who was the love of her life.
A faithful member of the Gentry Baptist Church, she loved the Lord and her family and was always willing to provide a helping hand to everyone in the community.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Edward Palmer and wife, Vanessa, of Hilltop; four daughters, Norma Wolfe and husband, Larry, of Sanger, Joann Burkett and husband, Randy, of Roanoke, VA, April Cantley and husband, David, of Sanger, and Kimberly Perkins and husband, Timothy, of Hico; and many brothers and sisters.
She is also survived by 12 grandchildren: Christopher O'Boyle of Jackson, Ohio, Heather Cutrer of Chesapeake, VA, Daniel Palmer of Port Republic, VA, Jason Palmer of Titusville, FL, Randy Burkett II of Roanoke, VA, Joshua Miller of Sanger, David Cantley of Sanger, Nicholas Miller of Lochgelly, Treasure Bragg of North Page, Mahaley Palmer of Hilltop, Nichol Cantrell of Ashville, NC and Emma Perkins of Fairmont; 15 Great grandchildren; 2 great, great grandchildren; and her church family at Gentry Baptist Church, as well as many additional family members and friends.
In complying with her wishes graveside rites and committal service will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at 2:00PM at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, with Pastor Lewis Sanson officiating. Burial will follow. There will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers, her children ask that donations be made in honor of Jerry Palmer to the Church that she loved dearly: Gentry Baptist Church 1205 Meadow Fork School Road, Oak Hill, WV 25901.
Her grandsons will be serving as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend the committal service should meet at the cemetery.
