Jerry Wayne Gwinn, 61, of Mount Hope, WV passed away on Saturday, September 04, 2021 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV.
Born July 19, 1960 in Beckley, WV he was the son of the Betty Cales Gwinn and the late Delbert Allen Gwinn
Jerry was a 1978 graduate of Mount Hope High School. He worked for Peerless Meat Packing where he was a butcher and delivered food to different businesses, he also worked for Pasquale's Italian Restaurant. Jerry liked to fish, and loved spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by nephew, Craig Huddleston.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving mother, Betty Cales Gwinn, companion of 25 years Ann Rose; sisters, Gloria Jean Lane, Pamela Kay Johnson (John), and Mary Louise Shinn (James); brother Thomas Allen Gwinn (Pamela); nieces, Lena Kimble, Mandi Hall, Rebecca Estep, and Kelsea Clark; nephews, Phillip Rukse and Derrick Gwinn, and great great nephew, Jaxson Steele.
Visitation for family will be 4:00 PM on Monday, September 6, 2021 at Tyree Funeral Home in Mount Hope. Visitation for friends will be at 5:00 PM.
Funeral service will be 6:00 PM Monday, September 6, 2021 at Tyree Funeral Home, in Mount Hope with Pastor Larry Humphrey officiating. Cremation will follow after the service.
While masks are not required you might consider wearing one before entering the building as we all attempt to stop the spread of COVID 19.
